Our Qualifications

William Russo, CFP founded his financial services firm in 1993 in Solon, Ohio. Today Securus Financial Strategies has two financial planners in the Solon office and one financial planner in the Mentor Office.

Mr. Russo is also the Treasurer of the Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation, Trustee of the Solon Italian Club Foundation, Councilman Ward 7 City of Solon, past Vice Mayor City of Solon, past Chairman of the North East Ohio Chapter of the Financial Planning Association, past Chairman of the Solon Medical Campus Community Advisory Board, past President of the North East Ohio Chapter of the Financial Planning Association 2008-2009, past Chairman of the City of Solon Charter Review Commission, past member of the City of Solon Development Board, past member of the City of Solon Master Plan Committee, past President of the Solon Chamber of Commerce, and past Chairman of the Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce.

Mr. Russo is a well known and respected speaker on a wide range of financial topics. He has contributed to The Plain Dealer, Inside Business finance and business columns and Cleveland Magazine.

Bill started Securus Financial Strategies with the mission of helping his clients achieve their financial goals through the development of a financial plan that incorporates a person's goals, time horizon, and current financial situation. This process enables a person to make informed decisions about their financial future.

Mr. Russo received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from John Carroll University in 1976, a Masters in Finance from Wright State University in 1991 and received his CFP designation in 2001.

Bill resides in Solon with his wife Mary,  and daughter Kerin.
